The American Rodeo will take place in Arlington, Texas, at AT&T Stadium, which is the home field for the Dallas Cowboys. The top five finishers will automatically qualify for the event, but there are also other ways to advance.
The Top 5 finishers in the 2022 PRCA/WPRA year-end standings will be considered Contenders. They will be invited to compete at The American, where they will compete against tough horses across the country. There will be a $1 million bonus for the winner.
Contestants will be ranked by the number of rounds they are able to complete in each roping discipline. The highest scoring contestants will move on to the Performance Rounds of The American, where they will have a chance to win the million dollar bonus.

Arlington’s AT&T Stadium
Earlier this month, the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) and Teton Ridge announced that the legendary American Rodeo will be returning to Arlington’s AT&T Stadium in 2022. In 2022, the grand prize will increase to $2 million. The winners of each event will receive a share of a $1 million bonus prize.
