WPRA American Semi Finals 2022
Taking place at Arlington’s AT&T Stadium, the WPRA American Semi Finals will feature eight of the top professional rodeo athletes in the country. During the event, cowboys and cowgirls will compete for a total prize purse of $250,000 and the title of American Champion.
WPRA American Rodeo
Whether it’s team roping, steer wrestling, bull riding, heeling or barrel racing, The American Rodeo is a top competition for the world’s best rodeo athletes. The event will feature $2.3 million in prize money. Throughout the year, qualifying events are held across the country. These events bring together underdogs and the top athletes in the world to compete for a spot at the finals.
The American Rodeo will take place in Arlington, Texas, at AT&T Stadium, which is the home field for the Dallas Cowboys. The top five finishers will automatically qualify for the event, but there are also other ways to advance.
The Top 5 finishers in the 2022 PRCA/WPRA year-end standings will be considered Contenders. They will be invited to compete at The American, where they will compete against tough horses across the country. There will be a $1 million bonus for the winner.
Contestants will be ranked by the number of rounds they are able to complete in each roping discipline. The highest scoring contestants will move on to the Performance Rounds of The American, where they will have a chance to win the million dollar bonus.
PBR Global Cup USA
Those who are interested in professional bull riding will have another opportunity to watch some of the world’s best bull riders compete at the PBR Global Cup USA semi-finals in 2022. The event will be held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on March 5-6.
The PBR has been bringing innovation and new ideas to the sport of bull riding. It was created in 2017, and the inaugural event was in Edmonton, Alberta. In 2018, the PBR made a stop in Sydney, Australia. The event is sponsored by Monster Energy.
The PBR Team Series was introduced this year, and eight founding teams will compete in an annual bull riding event. Each team will host a western lifestyle festival each year. These events will be televised on CBS Sports Network. The first half of 2019 will feature more than 100 hours of PBR action on the network.

Earlier this month, the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) and Teton Ridge announced that the legendary American Rodeo will be returning to Arlington’s AT&T Stadium in 2022. After the success of last year’s PBR Global Cup USA and Women’s Final Four, the two organizations have come together again to create a weekend of Western sports unlike any other in history.
The American is the richest single-day event in Western sports. It features barrel racing, tie down roping, saddle bronc riding and team roping. The event is broadcast live on RFD-TV. It offers over $3 million in prize money.
The American is held annually in Arlington, Texas. It is sponsored by Durango Boots and brings qualifiers from all over the country. The event also gives competitors a chance to compete for a spot in the breakaway competition, where top ten ropers will face off for the grand prize.
In 2022, the grand prize will increase to $2 million. The winners of each event will receive a share of a $1 million bonus prize.
